Update...LOL

Well, what to say...it's been about 1 year and 8 months since my last post...hehe...a lot has changed since then. I am not longer a student at CSU, Sacramento, which between now and the last post officially changed to Sacramento State. I graduated with my degree in accounting, and I have been working since June 2006 as a tax auditor for the state. I actually started working just after this photo was taken. I was thinking it had nothing to do with this post, but I liked it, but what do you know. This was my last CLU Vacation. Well, I just wanted to check in. Pray that I start to become more faithful to my blog...in the event that people other than spammers become interested...Matt

Dammit!

I always forget to maintain this damn thing. That is an original's state of mind...though we love our friends. On the my peave of the week.

MERRY CHRISTMAS. IF YOU YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN CHRISTMAS I'M SORRY, BUT I DO. So, this is not meant to offend anyone. I just believe that I have the same freedom of speech as anyone else, so I can say the things that I believe in...like Jesus and Christmas.

Anyway, Happy New Year too! I hope 2006 treats us all well!!!

A New Beginning

We had our West Coast Beginning Day last week, using The Unknown Citizen by W.H. Auden. It was amazing.

Rose, Brian and Margie gave testimonies that were beautiful. I was really struck by Rose who said, "Is he free, is he happy? This question for us is not absurd. I want to ask this all of the time." And from Brian, we heard about the life of a graduate student, knowing where this grace is from, but not being able to see the faces that show him Christ all of the time. Margie spoke about her life in the last three years, and she said how this place is the only place for her to live.

Damian gave us a quick synopsis on dualism and nihilism and how the first leads to the second, yet it's impossible for a man not to be a dualist. Society doesn't allow it. Instead, Fr. Giussani gave us this method to follow, he left it to us, so that we may see how our live involves all of reality.

Anyway, here are some pictures of the day...i hope you enjoy them...

The Fantastic 4

This is the Fantastic 4...

I like giving names to cool groups of people, can you tell? That's Jen(Jenny on the Block), Brian (G2, my brother) and Marco (OM)...I'm the one with cool red white and swedish blue PUMAs. My family hosted an Italian for the month of August, Marco. He is a professional opera singer (hence the OM=Opera Man). Jen, Bri and I drove him up to Tahoe for a day in the cool convertable that I rented (which sucked like a prostitute because it rained up there). But it was beautiful. Even in the rain, Lake Tahoe still strikes me! Just a little bit of fun.

Of course, since then, I have started school, and I have begun the last year as an undergrad!!! I am totally excited for that!!! I am leaving for Italy on Sept. 16 to go to Tommi's and Checcha's wedding. Friends of ours from there....it will be fun. Then I am going with another friend to watch Marco sing the Count of Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart. Cool, huh? Anyway, I will write to you all again. Go check out Laura d again...she has updated her thing..........

The Originals!!!

So, this was some crazy shit that happened back in November. My friends and I were in New York (that's...from left to right....Dan, Me, Margie, Jon and Paola). We are the Originals, the inspiring group of people behind the name of t his blog. I thought I would let you all know. Anyway, some of us (Margie and I and and laura d and her roommate as well) traveled to New York, and us five originals in that photo got a little tipsy and started taking random pictures all over NYC. Good times. I am going to visit the New Yorkers again in July (by the way Dan, Jon and Paola are the NY peeps). I just saw them all in May and there were some new pictures....probably get those up in the next few years or so....

This morning's early adventure

So, I have now filed a police report with the Sac PD because some crazy woman and her deviant child attacked me this morning (or attempted to attack me). At the very least, they threatened to F*%& me up, so I should watch my Ps and Qs. Whatever. I also had class at 7:30 in which I got a test back. Why do we study? It is so exhausting.

This is a great question thought, what drives us to do the things we do? Think about it. I study so I can get a job and all that crap, but is there another reason? Yes, because in the end, I am very happy. Anyway, I don't know if it's obvious, but I suck at this blog thing. I don't know how to add links very easily and I can't figure out how to put a damn picture into the posting. I'll learn. Laura d did....
